About Amboseli National Park

Located in southern Kenya near the Tanzanian border, Amboseli National Park is renowned for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its large herds of African elephants.

Known as the "Land of Giants," Amboseli is famous for having some of the largest elephants in Africa. The park's name comes from a Maasai word meaning "springs of water," reflecting the presence of seasonal swamps and lakes that attract diverse wildlife throughout the year.

The park offers excellent opportunities to see the Big Five, with particularly impressive elephant populations. The backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro creates one of Africa's most iconic safari landscapes, providing stunning photographic opportunities.
