Mount Kenya is Africa's second-highest mountain at 5,199 meters (17,057 feet), located in central Kenya near the equator.
Known as "Kirinyaga" meaning "mountain of whiteness" in Kikuyu, Mount Kenya is a massive extinct volcano with three main peaks: Batian (5,199m), Nelion (5,188m), and Lenana (4,985m). The mountain is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its dramatic peaks, glacial valleys, and unique afro-alpine vegetation.
The mountain offers some of the most challenging and rewarding trekking experiences in Africa, with technical climbing routes for experienced mountaineers and more accessible trekking routes for adventure enthusiasts. The most popular and straightforward route to Lenana peak. Takes 4-5 days with good infrastructure and rapid ascent.
The most scenic route offering beautiful landscapes and varied terrain. Less crowded and more challenging than Naro Moru.
The easiest and most gradual ascent route. Perfect for first-time mountain trekkers with good acclimatization time.
